Revision timetable

Your child should be taking the time to create a weekly revision timetable in preparation for their PPEs which will begin the week commencing 12th October. At this stage, we expect a minimum of 5 hours of revision per week. Students are welcome to complete this revision at home or in the Study Zone. (The Study Zone is a quiet area available for students to use after school. Staff will be available to support with any questions.)

Metacognition

During tutor time, students explore various techniques and strategies to support their independent revision. The “thinking about thinking” documents will allow you to encourage and monitor your child’s revision at home.

Thinking about Thinking

Year 11 Performing Artists:

This year you will be studying Nutcracker by Matthew Bourne with the aim of recreating his choreography in a professional manner. You must reflect upon your rehearsal time that you will complete in school as well as focussing on your strengths and weaknesses in your own time. By the end of this unit, you will have the opportunity to reflect upon your development as a performer and will perform the final piece as part of an ensemble.

Year 11 Drama

Geography

Geography intervention runs on Thursday after school from 2.55 to 3.40.

Pupils should regularly use Seneca as a revision tool to fill gaps and revisit prior knowledge.

All pupils have been provided with a CGP Revision book free of charge. Materials will be released weekly on Google Classroom to support pupils with revision.

Pupils will be sitting a PPE in week 6 based on: Landscapes, Living World, Urban Areas and Economic Development topics.
