SCIENCE LEAD PRACTITIONER

Salary Grade: Leadership Scale L1 – L5 (£44,305 – £48,895)
Contract: Full Time (32.5 hours per week) / Permanent

We seek to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Science Lead Practitioner to join a strong, well resourced, evidence informed team in a high performing and over-subscribed 11-16 academy. Beamont Collegiate Academy is a vibrant and dynamic school community with a strong emphasis on high expectations and aspirations. The academy is part of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) and was judged ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted in July 2022. Teaching at BCA is underpinned by Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction and we have a considered, evidence informed feedback policy as part of the academy’s approach to teacher work-load. You will be joining a Science Department that is at the forefront of the school in terms of teaching and learning and one which utilises research and credible evidence to inform best practice.

The successful candidate will be required to support the Science Leaders including, but not limited to, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning, quality assuring curriculum and assessment material, co-ordinating a well-considered out Subject Knowledge Enhancement plan, developing ITT/ ECT teachers and supporting feeder primary schools. This position is permanent and is suited to an individual with drive, passion and commitment who may be keen for career advancement in the future.

TEACHER OF SPANISH and FRENCH

Salary Grade: M1 – UPS3 (£28,000 – £43,685)

We seek to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Teacher of Spanish to join a strong department in a vibrant, high performing and over-subscribed 11-16 academy. The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 Spanish with Key Stage 3 French, joining a team of experienced subject specialists. STEM & SLP SUPPORT AND ADMIN ASSISTANT

Salary: Grade 5 SCP 8-14 (Pro-rata: £19,593 – £21,857)
Contract: 37 hours per week / Term Time plus 5 days / FTC until Aug 2025
(The role will be split between 22 hours in STEM and 15 hours in Main Admin)

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic STEM & SLP Support and Admin Assistant to providing administrative work for NCCE Computing Hubs and Science Learning Partnership within the school as well as TCAT and Priestley. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a busy office environment and have excellent interpersonal skills and must be proficient in MS Office applications and other online platforms. Previous experience of working in an educational setting or within STEM Learning would be an advantage. This role is fixed term for two years, is office based and candidates must have the ability to travel to support offsite CPD when required.
