Rewards

All students are rewarded for following staff and student charter and for going above and beyond the daily expectations of the Academy.

On entry to the classroom, students are awarded a Level 2, or ‘Good’ which equates to 5 reward points in our system. Students can then earn the reward of an ‘Outstanding’ lesson judgement which leads to 10 point on the system.

Mrs Casey, Progress Leader for Year 8 is the lead teacher for rewards at the academy.  Each half term Mrs Casey leads Rewards Assemblies with prizes on offer for raffle our raffle winners. Raffle tickets are earnt through excellent attendance and punctuality.

The students who have earnt the most Outstanding lessons each half term are also celebrated in assemblies and via displays around the school. Students can earn the opportunity to win prizes and be invited to special rewards events culminating in the main rewards event of the academic year, the BCA Annual Awards evening.

Progress Leaders and SLT are always looking for opportunities to hand out ‘on the spot’ rewards.
