GCSE Results 2022

On behalf of the staff and governors of Beamont Collegiate Academy, I would like to congratulate our Year 11 students on their excellent GCSE exam results. The class of 2022 have shown great determination, resilience and most of all a superb work ethic. All of these combined to see our best ever GCSE results at BCA this year.

As you can see from the table below, there have been significant improvements since 2019 across many subjects including Maths, History, Science and Geography. The number of students securing a grade 4+ and 5+ in English and Maths has also risen considerably. We also saw 28% of students secure 3 or more grade 7-9 grades this year that is up from 16% in 2019.

Progress 8 score: 0.17
Attainment 8 score: 49.76
% of pupils achieving a grade 5 or above in GCSE English and maths: 48%
% of pupils entering the English Baccalaureate (EBacc): 47%
% of pupils staying in education or employment after KS4: 88%

Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for 1 school or college and another, or to data from previous years.

We couldn’t be prouder of our students’ achievements, and I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and all the parents/guardians who have supported the students and the school to help our students achieve the best GCSE results in BCA history!
